Rachel Ann Haslam Bankhead, 80, prominent Wellsville church worker, died Thursday August 4th, 1942 at 5:35 am at her home in Wellsville.

She was born in Salt Lake City November 19, 1852, to James Holt and Mary Baugh Haslam.

On October 15, 1874, she was married to Heber Kimball Bankhead, he died March 2nd, 1929, after being an invalid for years. They were the parents of eight children.

Survivors include: five sons and one daughter, John H. Bankhead of Logan, Mrs. Nancy Forster of Vallejo, California and James H., Heber H., William H., and Evan H. Bankhead of Wellsville; 26 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Forence Archibald, Mrs. Lettice Broadbent and Robert Haslam of Weiser, Idaho; James Haslam of Tremont, John Haslam of Richfield, Ephraim Haslam of Cardston, Alberta, Canada, and Brian Haslam of Wellsville.
