She was born in Roanoke, daughter of the late Eugene Allen Bandy and Susie Jane Shepperd.
An infant sister also preceded her in death.
Amelia was the owner and operator of Hardy Dental Lab, and she was a member of Mt. Ivy Christian Church.
She loved gardening and working in her yard.
She is survived by her daughters, Tracey Underwood (Terry), and Olivia Bradbury; four grandchildren, Constance Underwood (Jeffery “Jay”), Aaron Underwood (Sheena), Joseph Underwood, Amelia Eliza Jane Bandy; four great-grandchildren, Allen Underwood, Hayden Underwood, Jaydin Underwood, Jayse Underwood; three brothers, Gordon Underwood (Mary), Claude Underwood, Jr., (Kathy), David Underwood (Jennifer); special cousin, Caroline Sowers; numerous other family members and friends.
Her family will have a graveside service at the Bandy family cemetery behind her home at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 18, 2016, officiated by Rev Steve Pasley.
