OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

D. W. Baer 68-year-old farmer, who lived on route 2 west of town, known as the old Peru pike, passed away at his residence Thursday afternoon about 1 p.m. of complications.

Funeral service will be held at the residence Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the Rev. Mr. Taylor of the Rich Valley United Brethren church. Burial will be in Falls cemetery.

Baer, who was born and lived all of his life in Wabash county, had been ill for four years.

On Dec. 25, he was united in marriage with Ida Hagenbush and to this union were born five children: four of whom are now living together with his wife. The children surviving are: Wilbur Baer, north of town, Glenn Baer, west of town, Mrs. Beatrice Alger, Akron, and Mrs. Bernice Werking at home. His granddaughter, Betty Jane was also living at the residence. Also surviving are one brother, Mark Baer, of Argos, and two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Gardner, west of town, and Mrs. Hannah Gardner, south of town. He also had 8 grandchildren.
