Ethel Bachmann died at her home. She was born in the Bronx, NY and lived in Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from an overseas assignment with the Peace Corps.


She received her Master's degree in Library Science from Pace University, NY, where she worked for several years. More recently, she was a law librarian at Martin County Correctional facilities. She also taught English as a second language. She did two tours with the Peace Corps, where she served as a librarian.


She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and belonged to the Indian River Photo Club, Genealogy Club and Computer Club of Vero Beach.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10a Feb. 26 at Holy Cross Church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery following the Mass.


Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
