Florence J. Hoag Armstrong, 72, died at 10:45 AM Thursday [Oct.10, 1963] in St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been in failing health two years and hospitalized this last time for two days. Born at Kinmundy, IL, she had lived in Lafayette 45 years. In 1938, she was married to Lloyd S. Armstrong, who survives. Mrs. Armstrong was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Surviving with her husband are a son from a prior marriage, Joseph F. Hurley of Lafayette; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Akers of Pine Village, Mrs. Doris Sherry of Fort Wayne, and Miss Beverly Armstrong of New York City; four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Warden of Ypsilanti, MI, Mrs. Lulu Basinger of Danville, IL, Mrs. Myrtle Dapist of Jacksonville, IL, and Mrs. Mary Clemme of Chicago, IL: six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
