Mrs. Appleby Dies; Funeral is Tuesday
Mrs. Appleby Dies At Age 74
Mrs. Homer Appleby, 74, of 1016 W. 3rd., Davenport, died Saturday night in Mercy Hospital after three weeks illness.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Runge Chapel, with burial in Davenport Memorial Park.
Visitation is after 2 p.m. today at the mortuary.
Edith S. Denning was born in Manning, Iowa. She married Mr. Appleby in Peoria, Ill, Nov 22, 1921. He died in 1952.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Bonita Scheel, Mrs. Mabel Beherns and Mrs. Shirley Broderson, all of Davenport, and Mrs. Catherine Dowing, Buffalo, Iowa; sons, Homer and Louis, both of Davenport; Lavern, Monticello, Ill., Charles, Siluria, Ala., 38 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Carilton, Riverton, Illinois and a brother, Louis Denning, Peoria

Mrs. Appleby Dies At Age 74
