DANBURY — Wilma (Anson) Mayer, 86, wife, sister, aunt, Godmother and friend, of Danbury, died peacefully Sunday, November 4, peacefully with her family by her side. She was the widow of Harold C. Mayer.

Mrs. Mayer was born May 10, 1926, in Pelham Manor, N.Y., the daughter of John and Joan Anson. She graduated from Isaac Young High school in New Rochelle, N.Y., and worked as a hairdresser in Larchmont and volunteered with the Red Cross.

She leaves her brother, John Anson and his wife, Joan, of New Port Richey, Fla.; special nephews, Kent Anson and his wife, Elizabeth, of Exeter, N.H., and Scott Anson of St. Augustine, Fla., and her Godson, David Kyle Anson of Exeter, N.H. and Montana State University.

A brief graveside service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 1, at New North Cemetery in Woodbury. Relatives and friends are welcome. Arrangements are by Green Funeral Home.



The family wishes to thank her many friends in New York, Connecticut, and the good folks in New Hampshire and Maine at Ernest Barka Center, Exeter at Hampton, Kittery Estates and York Hospital for their help and support.
