Roger C. Anderson, 70, retired mason contractor, died Sunday in Fostoria Hospital. He had been under the care of a physician for some time but was not considered seriously ill. He had just returned from visiting his daughter in Chicago.

Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Brown, his daughter; Mrs. Helen Freeman of Chicago, sister; Mrs. Evelyn Weiker of Fremont, Mrs. Rosena Dalton and Mrs. Martha Robinson, both of Belpre, Mrs. Bessie Dericotte, Mrs. Mabel Washington, Mrs. Carrie Roberts, and Mrs. Hattie Adams, all of Toledo, one brother; Alan Anderson of Toledo, and four grandchildren.

Mr. Anderson was born on Aug. 29, 1900, in Fostoria, the son of Raymond and Cora Johnson Anderson. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and Church Deacon, and Bricklayers, Masons, and Plasterer's International Union of America.

Friends will be received at the Mann Funeral Home Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. The Rev. K. C. Marsenburg will conduct funeral services Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the church with burial in Fountain Cemetery.
