Charles A. Amos, 81, died Sunday, March 9, 2014, at home. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15 at Center Chapel United Methodist Church, west of Indianola, with burial of cremains in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Amos was a lifetime resident of Warren County where he farmed and raised purebred Hereford cattle. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. He also served his community for many years on the Warren County Fairboard.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma, of Indianola; his son, Craig (Denise) of Indianola; daughter, Carla (Mark) Brinkman of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Nathan (Jaime) Brinkman of Adel, and Alison Brinkman of Ames; and granddog, Tucker. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry, and parents, Charles and Mildred Amos.
