Robert L. Allen, 2705 Andromeda Drive, Colorado Springs, Colo, died at his home
on Monday, December 13, 1976. He was 57 years old and had been a resident of Colorado Springs for the past 10 years.
He was born July 12, 1919 in Guymon to Leon and Lola (Rogers) Allen. He graduated from Guymon High School and owned the Allen Tire Shop and later Allen Motor Co.(now Allen's Inc.) in Guymon from 1941 to 1966. He was a veteran of World War II, having served on Okinawa. He was married to Frances Eloise Harris Oct 6, 1939 at Elkhart, Kans.
He is survived by his wife, Frances, a daughter, Mrs. Si (Sandra) Perkins of Guymon, a son, Blake Harris Allen, a student in Ft Collins, Colo, a sister, Iris Helms of Cherokee, Okla, his step-mother, Mrs. Mary Allen of Guymon, three stepbrothers, Ken Faris of Guymon, Bud Faris of Amarillo, Tex., and Curt Faris of Tucson, Ariz, and by three grandchildren, Chris, Julie, and Laurie Perkins, of Guymon. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Shelley K.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, December 18th, at the Victory Memorial United Methodist Church in Guymon. The cremains were interred privately at the family plot in Elmhurst Cemetery.
The family asked that any memorial gifts be made to the Robert L. Allen Memorial Fund at the Guymon church.
