Laurie Ann Akin, 49, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, went home on Saturday, April 25, 2009.

She is survived by her birth father Ralph Bongard; sister Susan Willecke and husband Lynn; brother John Bongard and wife Jodie; sister Diana Branstetter; sister Rhonda Prideaux; step-brother Ronald Akin; and her legal guardian Patricia Shattuck and husband Sam; many nieces; nephews; and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Akin. Laurie will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
