Alice Hurt Agee, 89, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006 in a local nursing home. She was born May 10, 1916 in Bedford, a daughter of the late C.R. "Bob" Hurt and Grace Mitchell Hurt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Agee and a sister, Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Hurt. She was a member of the Suck Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy A. and Tucker Ferguson, Bedford; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Penny Agee, Bedford; a sister, Cathryn Hurt Collins Camden, Bedford; three grandchildren, Rodney Ferguson and wife, Theresa, Neal W. Agee, Mark S. Agee. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 9 a.m. at the Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford by the Rev. Jerry Parr. Interment will follow in the Suck Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon today and the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
