HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Sharlene Adamson, 64, of 198 Arrowhead Road, Erwin, Tenn., and formerly of High Point, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002.
A native of Canadian, Okla., she was born on March 29, 1938, a daughter of the late Charles Benson and Grace Dudark Benson. A brother, Charles Benson, also preceded her in death.
She owned and operated the High Point Hairdressers Shop for 20 years, retiring in 1990.
She is survived by her husband, Bob L. Adamson of the home, who she married on Dec. 6, 1956. Also surviving are two daughters, Melissa White of Martinsville, Va., and Angela Whitson of Johnson City, Tenn.; one sister, Judy Clayborn of Muskogee, Okla.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sechrest Funeral Home chapel on East Lexington Avenue, High Point, with the Rev. Ron Mateer officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Veterans of Foreign Wars or to the charity of one's choice.
