Son of George Washington Adams and Mary Ann Pilling.

Elias married Hannah Maria Fanning, 11 Feb 1886, Kaysville, Davis, Utah.

He, along with his father and uncles, was one of the founders of the Adams Brothers Pond Company. From the establishment of the Adams' Reservoirs, they sucessfully furnished irrigation water to the farms and homes in Kaysville.

He was one of the first to invest in the Cotswold Sheep Industry and was engaged in that enterprize for a number of years.

He was also a farmer and stock rancher, owning and operating, first the horse-powered threshing machines, and later the steam thresher.

Children - William Elias Adams, Mary Hazel Adams, Cora Irene Adams, Merlin Wright Adams, Nellie Pearl Adams, Edgar Fanning Adams, Wilford Thomas Adams, Joseph Reuben Adams, John Vernon Adams, Leone Hannah Adams.
