Funeral Services for Ernest Pressley Adams, 69, Porter resident, were held at 2:30 pm Monday in the Porter High School auditorium with Reverend Ervin Neufeld officiating. He died at his home Tuesday, Dec 2, 1964
A veteran of WW1, he was a retired Oklahoma Natural Gas employee. Born in Delta, Iowa, he had lived in Oklahoma 58 years, 36 of them in Wagoner County.
Survivors are his wife Nellie; as son, Ernest L Adams of Muskogee, four daughters, Mrs Ruth Garrett of Tulsa, Mrs Margaret Byrd of Muskogee, Mrs Lola Tedder of Wagoner, and Mrs Cleta Tedder of Porter: his mother, Mrs Ruth Adams of Tulsa; a brother, Ralph Adams of Iowa; a sister, Mrs Ruth Langdon of Texas; one half-sister, Miss Lucille Adams of Tulsa; 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Burial was in Porter Cemetery under the direction of Mallett-Green Funeral Home of Wagoner.
Active pallbearers were Ralph Smith, Harold Gaither, Hull Boyd, Alva Boyd, Albert Lang and Bland Madden.
Honorary pallbearers were employees of ONG Co and members of the Porter American Legion Post No 196.
