Lacon, IL - Marvella Adams, age 76, of 6 Bay Shore Drive, Lacon, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at her home.

She was born Aug. 4, 1933, in Craighead County, Ark., a daughter of the late Robert and Stella (Voorhees) Griggs. She married Barney E. Adams on June 2, 1949, in Lake City, Ark. He died June 9, 1996. She later married Terry L. Schultz on Feb. 8, 2008, in Lacon, and he survives.

She also is survived by one son, Ronald Gene (Debra) Adams of Newark, Ill.; two daughters, Shelia Ann (Bradley) Green of Goodfield and Kathey Diann (James) Brown of Independence, Ill.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delores Wright of Jonesboro, Ark., and Grace Bast of Grand Rapids, Mich.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

She was a former employee of the Lacon Woolen Mill and Hobbs Mfg. in Spring Valley.

Marvella loved gardening and fishing, especially the catching.

She was a member of the Lacon-Sparland United Methodist Church.

Interment will be in the Lacon Cemetery.
