Major Adams' alma maters were Texas A&M and Baylor University. He was a Marine pilot during World War II. Member of the Flight Class 42-C, Squadron 7A at the Naval Air Training Center, Corpus Christi, Texas. Major H.B. Adams served as a test pilot and flew many successful missions across the Pacific, including the battle for Iwo Jima.
