Roena daughter of Lorena May Gee & Stephan Perry Abbott who grew up in Lehi, Utah. Her twin sister is Lorena Abbott. Roena married Darhl Leland Tingey 8 March 1951. They raised their family in Lehi, Utah. They had 6 wonderful children.

Roena Abbott Tingey, age 64 of Lehi, died April 23, 1998 at her home after an extended illness. She was born July 7, 1933 in Lehi, daughter of Stephan Perry and Lorena May Gee Abbott. She married Darhl Leland Tingey, March 8, 1951 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was a ceramist and for many years operated the Ceramic Center of Utah at Point of the Mountain north of Lehi. She was a member of the LDS Church and also a member of the Lion's Club. Survived by two son and one daughter, David Gordon (Colleen) Tingey, Springville; Randy Leland (Cindy) Tingey, and Nancy (Richard) Clark, both of Lehi; 11 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Garth Abbott, St. George; Dr. Stanley E. Abbott, Orem; Mary Self, Downey, California; Azalia Stolworthy, Logan; Nora Sampson, Midvale; Lorena (R.J.) Slater, Oak City, Utah.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 28, 1998 in the Lehi 21st Ward Gateway Chapel, Lehi. Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery.
