Mary Jeanette (Aunt Mert) Ables, 80 of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008 at the Family Care Center in Kingston. She was born in Aylesworth, Oklahoma to the late Bert Lee Drain and Bessie Bula Matney Drain on July 2, 1927. Jeanette grew up in the Aylesworth and Kingston area. She finished high school in Kingston in 1945. She was a member of the KHS Alumni Association. She later moved to Sherman, Texas for several years before moving back to the Madill and Kingston area in 1950. She married Lawrence Ables on September 16, 1967 in Plano, Texas. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1983. Jeanette worked at "The Grill in Madill many years, Madill Pharmacy and Courtney Chevrolet . She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Madill and she enjoyed playing cards, crafts and playing games.
She is survived by:

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step son; Lynn Ables, 3 brothers; Otis, Squeaky and Amos and 3 sisters; Jean Capps, Christine Spence and Louetta Davis.
Visitation will be Friday, April 18th at the Watts Funeral Home, Madill. Family hour will be from 6pm to 7pm.
