Leslie Odell "Rocky" Angel was born August 18, 1956 the oldest son of Leslie H Angel Jr. and Lanell Julian Park. He drowned in the Illinois River that he loved so much on July 5, 2012 at the age of 55 years 11 months and 5 days. Rocky is survived by his father Leslie Angel Jr. of Hutchinson, Kansas, his mother Lanell Park of Tahlequah, five children Shawn, Michelle, Kendra, Kodie and Timber, five grandchildren, four sisters Jean Angel Ryals and husband Kenneth, Melinda Webb and husband Jack, Marty Ott, Danelle Blevins, and a special nephew Shyler Blevins and many other relatives. Two special friends Mike Peacock and Victor Duncan. Rocky is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Leslie Angel and Delphine Honneman, maternal grandparents Odell and Bernice Julian and one brother Jeffery Alan Angel. Rocky loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He had a soft spot for children and dogs. He had many friends. He was a concrete finisher by trade and a rodeo cowboy by night. He will be missed by all his friends but most of all by his family. A celebration of his life will be held on July 28, 2012 at the Keys Community building (behind Big Reds) at 1:00 pm. Bring a covered dish, photos and your memories.
