ROCKWELL CITY — Harold "Pete" Anderson 68, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Rockwell City, with Rev. James Hoover Mossman officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Rockwell City, with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Rockwell City Veterans Organization. Visitation will be 5 to 8 pm. Thursday at the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home in Rockwell City.

Pete is survived by his wife Nancy; sons, Dave (Nicky) Anderson of Manson, and Joe (Savanna) Anderson of Granite Falls, Minn.; grandchildren, Josh, Colton, Brayton, Shelby, Keaton, and Emma; two brothers, John (Gwynne) Anderson of Spicer, Minn, and Jim (BJ) Anderson of Port Royal, Va. He was preceded in death by his son Christopher in infancy; parents, Bennie and Myrtle Anderson; sister Beverly Larson; and brother Bruce Anderson.

Harold Peder Anderson was born Feb. 9, 1939 at Montevideo, Minn. He was baptized and confirmed at Saron Lutheran Church, near Montevideo. He graduated from Montevideo High School, with the Class of 1957. Pete then served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in May of 1962. On Oct. 13, 1962, he was united in marriage to Nancy Moen at the Maynard Lutheran Church in Maynard, Minn. He received a Bachelors Degree in Ag Business from the University of Minnesota in 1967. Pete worked for Sinclair Petroleum in Clear Lake, Iowa, and then moved to Rockwell City, where he was employed with Farmland Industries. In the mid 80's he sold life insurance for Northwestern Mutual and finished his career at Opportunity Living as Personal Director in 2001. Pete was active member of his Church and community. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends at his cabin on Lake Scandi in Minnesota.
