Ida Rumbaugh was born Oct. 18, 1873, in Troy, Iowa, and departed this life Oct. 3, 1931.
She lived with her family until her marriage to Oliver Adams Dec. 21, 1892.
To this union two daughters were born, Mary Irma and Hazel Alma, both of whom preceded their mother in death when they were young ladies.
Besides a host of relatives and friends she leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Oliver Adams, and three sisters, Mrs. Laura Brooks of Des Moines, Miss Mary Rumbaugh and Mrs. Anna Power, both of Centerville.
She resided in Davis county until 1920 when she moved with her family to Centerville where she lived until the time of her death. She was always faithful to her duties as mother and homemaker and was found an active worker in the Christian Science society of this city, of which she was a member.

Near shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God's free light,
Watered and fed by morning dew
Shedding its sweetness day and night.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint or fall?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive
The rose still grows beyond the wall.
Scattering fragrance far and wide
just as it did on the other side;
Just as it will forevermore.

CARD OF THANKS
We wish to take this opportunity to thank our many friends and neighbors for their kindness and sympathy during our bereavement, also for the beautiful floral offerings.
