FARMINGTON – Myrna M. Harris, 70, of Wilton, passed peacefully on Friday Dec. 21, 2012, at the Orchard Park Rehabilitation and lIving Center, Farmington, after battling a long illness with cancer. She was born Jan. 29, 1942, in S. Paris, a daughter of Alfred and Mildred (Welch) Tyler. She received her education in Weld and Wilton schools and in 1968 married Everett Harris in Winthrop. She was employed in various shoe shops, most notably Franklin Shoe, before becoming disabled.

She enjoyed crocheting, taking scenic rides and spending time with her grandchildren.

Myrna is survived by her loving husband, Everett Harris of Wilton; son, Everett Harris II "Bucky" and his wife, Terri Harris and their children: Heather and Randon Harris of North Jay; daughter : Michelle Makinen and her sons: Matthew, Dustin and Dillon of Farmington; a sister, Edna Rose; half-sister, Doreen Mithcell and sister-in-law, Betty Tyler.

She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Denise Tyler; half-sister Barbara Hiscock.

Spring graveside services will be held at Birchland Cemetery, N. Jay, with Rhonda Wiles-Rosell as celebrant. (Wiles Remembance CEnter)
