The Harry Affeld home, 562 Bond Avenue, is saddened today because of the death of their only child, Joan, four months old, who died Monday evening at 10 o'clock at the family home, of pneumonia, following an illness which manifested itself Sunday.
Besides the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Affeld, the child is survived by its paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Affeld, of this city, and its maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Shure, of Michigan City.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Frank A. LePell & Son Funeral Home on Monroe Street, with burial in Maplewood Cemetery.
Persons desiring to view the body may do so by calling at the home up until the time of the funeral.
