Mrs. Lena ARTER, Akron, died early today at her residence. Final rites are pending at the Haupert funeral home in Akron.

Tuesday, February 26, 1974

Final rites for Mrs. Lena F. ARTER, 81, Akron, who with her late husband owned and operated the Arter drug store in Akron for 58 years, will be at 10:30 a.m.Wednesday in the Haupert funeral home at Akron.

The Revs. John MOORE and Claude FAWNS will officiate and burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Mrs. Arter died early Monday morning at her home.
She was born March 19, 1892 in Marshall county to Bayless and Nancy SEVERNS GERRARD and had resided all her life in the Akron area. She was married in 1914 to Earl ARTER, who died in 1972. She was a member of the Akron United Methodist church and the Akron Eastern Star.

Surviving are a son, Stephen [ARTER], Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, and a foster son, Wayne MORRIS, Akron.
