Quillie Vandiver Adams, age 69, of Duncan, SC, died Thursday, May 17, 1990, in Mary Black Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

Native of Hart County, GA; son of James Horatio Adams (1882–1960) and Annie Elmira Brown Brackett Adams (1889–1924); husband of Jewell Senkbeil Adams (1924–2016).

Member of Flat Shoals Baptist Church in Hartwell, GA; a retired employee of W.R. Grace Company in Duncan, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his son, Marion Vandiver Adams, Jr. (1948–2012); daughter Sandra Adams Austin; sister-in-law, Lucius Senkbeil; and three grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 7:00 - 9;00 pm, Friday, May 18, 1990, at The Wood Mortuary.

Graveside services were held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 19, 1990, at Wood Memorial Park with Rev. Tommy Kay and Rev. Raymond Wilson.
