And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4

On Tuesday morning, March 4, 2014 at Saint Francis Hospital in Monroe God spole to his angel Sister Mary Lee Clemens to come on home and take her rest from the land of sickness, sorrow, and pain.

Mary Lee Clemens was born to the late Beatrice Clemens and Mose Crosby on January 20, 1950 on Arlindale Plantation in East Carroll Parish. Mary Lee was preceded in death by her parents, six aunts and her two twins. Mary confessed a faith in Christ and was baptized at an early age under the leadership of the late Great Rev. A. L. Thomas where she served on the Usher Board. Mary loved life and her family. Mary Lee helped rear James Earl Brown as one of her sons. James says Mary was his shinning star and it wont be the same without her.

Mary Lee Clemens left her legacy here to carry on: eight daughters, Rosie Mae Clemens Gayfield (Antonio); Jacqueline Clemens; Delores Clemens Matthews (Kenton); April, Santana, Lawana, Nefretiri; and Macey Clemens all of Lake Providence; one son, Christopher Clemens of Lake Providence; one brother, Howard Clemens (Linda); four special cousins, Ms. Yvonne Brown, a very special cousin to Mary Lee, Mary Newson of Lake Providence; Shirley Jones of New Orleans; Carren Jackson of Lake Charles; Four Godchildren: Latonya Jones, Marvin Burks, Jacqueline Bunch & Terrence Brown all of Lake Providence. Thirty-one grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, J. P. Lewis, father of her children and Freddie Mays
