---Charley A. Bergman, son of Michael and Clara Bergman, was born near Union in Clark County, Missouri on April 3, 1860 and died Ausust 2, 1947 at the age of eighty-seven years, four months and twenty-nine days.
---On November 18, 1880, he was married to Louise An Hunziker who preceded him in deth January 24, 1930.
---To this union were born six children, Mrs. Carie Gooch of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Emma Wood of Elmer, Missouri, Mrs. Mae Doner of New Bosten, Missouri, Mr. Otha Bergman of Coon Rapids, Iowa and Mrs. Bernice Lockett of Bandsville, Missouri.
---Besides the children, he leaves to mourn his passing, twenty-four grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
---Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.T. Rollen of Elmer.
---Seven great-granddaughters and one great-grandson were the pallbearers
---The remains were laid to rest in the Bell cemetery beside his wife.
---Those from a distance attending were Mr. and Mrs. Otha Bergman and Harlan of Coon Rapids, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Lockett and family of Brandsville, Missouri, Mr. and Mrs. John Gooch of Huston, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Kellison and Bargara Jean of Geneva, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. William Beats and family of Dumont, Iowa and Mrs. Dave Finkle of Hampton, Iowa.
