Betty Joyce Albritton

Betty Joyce Albritton, 79 a resident of Ozark, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Thursday October 16, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dana Brady and Celebrant Royce Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5pm until 7pm Wednesday. Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Mrs. Albritton was born March 2, 1935 in Ridgely Tennessee and she resided the early years of her life in Crestview, Florida. Mrs. Albritton moved to Ozark in the early 1970’s where she lived for the past 42 years. She was a home maker and the widow of Gabriel Albritton. Mrs. Albritton loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and she loved to spend the day shopping.

Survivors include three sons, Roger L. (Mary) Stephens, John R. Stephens and Paul A. (Martie) Albritton; three daughters, Rosalind (Troy) Alfrey, Maria (Timmy) Glass and Karla (Gary) Stump; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Margie Whittaker; two nephews and a niece.

Robert Byrd of Sunset Funeral Home, (334) 983-6604, is in charge of arrangements.
