Funeral for Jimmie Irene "Rene" Jeffreys Blankenship, 71, of Moulton will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev Steve Hood and the Rev Kale Bragwell officiating. Burial will be in Heflin Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Mrs Blankenship died Tuesday, Sept 21, 1999, at National Health Care in Moulton. She was born Jan 21, 1928, in Lawrence County. She was a homemaker, a graduate of Lawrence County High School and a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford Blankenship; two sons, Donnie Blankenship and Jeff Blankenship, both of Moulton; three daughters, Debbie Thorp of Muscle Shoals and Connie Kirby and Taffy Pierce, both of Moulton; one sister, Macy Moore of Moulton; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tim LouAllen, Chad LouAllen, Trey Thorp, Kinley Kirby, Lucas Blankenship and Jarrad Kirby.
