Lucy Still - Cherokee historian Emmet Starr lists Lucy Still as a daughter of Sallie Downing Tadpole. She was a half-sister to Nannie Tadpole Woodall and David Tadpole.

In 1937, Hummingbird and Biby, interviewers working in the Works Progress Administration's Indian-Pioneer History Project, recorded that Sallie was the first Cherokee to be buried in this cemetery. The burial occured about the year 1840.
