Huston Bolton, age 84, of Cherokee, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Mr. Bolton was a native of Rock Creek and a Veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Reynolds Alloy for 37 years and the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 19 years. He was a member of the Cherokee Church of Christ where he formerly served as a Deacon.

Mr. Bolton was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lizzie Bolton.

Mr. Bolton is survived by loving wife, Jackie Nell Thompson Bolton; sons, Stanley Huston Bolton (Christy) and Larry Wayne Bolton (Nancy Cosby); daughters, Sandra Nell Bolton Wesson (Danny) and Lisa Jane Nunley (Ray); sisters, Ruby Bradshaw and Willodean Russo; grandchildren, Brad Bolton (Stephanie), Jason Bolton (Ashley), Melissa Ledbedder (Michael), Jennifer Rutland (Michael), Rena Smith (Michael), Monica Beard (Wesley), Brandon Wesson, Mandy Johnson (Brent), Justin Nunley (Crystal), Emily Vernon and Adam Vanover; great-grandchildren, Barkley Bolton, Maddie Ledbedder, Justin Vernon, Michelle Rutland, Logan Rutland, Ethan Smith, Riley Smith, Landon Beard, Gracie Beard, Lilybeth Beard, Porter Johnson, Turner Johnson and Bryant Nunley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday from 11-12 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with his grandson, Justin Nunley officiating. The burial will be at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will include Brad Bolton, Jason Bolton, Brandon Wesson, Wesley Beard, Landon Beard, Michael Rutland, Michael David Smith, Brent Johnson and Michael Ledbedder. Honorary pallbearers will include Ricky Collum, the Elders, the men and young boys at Cherokee Church of Christ.
