DELLA BAKER
Della Baker, 92, died Wednesday, October 13, 1999, in a local hospital.
Services will be Friday (October 15, 1999) at 2 p.m. in Cedar Gap Cemetery with Richard Adkisson officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory, Abilene.
Mrs. Baker was born in Shackelford County and attended school in Cedar Gap. She moved to Abilene in 1950. She was an LVN at Stewart's Nursing Home for more than 20 years. She was the widow of Howard Baker, whom she married in 1923 in Abilene, She was a member of the Church of Christ at South 14th and Oak.
Survivors include a son, Alton Baker of Abilene; three daughters, Marjorie Morley and Shirley Wheless, both of Abilene; and Charlene Caveness of Dallas; 19 grandchildren. 37 great-grandchildren amd 11 great-great-grandchildren.
