Funeral services were held January 6, 2004, at Sharon Baptist Church, Erwinville, with burial in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Paul V. Gremillion; daughter, Virginia Dupree Lunderberg and Russell Kinchen, both of Erwinville; son and daughter-in law, Lawayne and Charlene Dupree, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Bonnie Lois Taylor and Frankie Parr; brother, W.H. Bearden; four grandchildren, Bruce and Emmett Lundberg, Jammie Chandler and Patrick Dupree; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her first husband of 35 years, Colbert Dupree; parents, Claude and Emma Bearden; sister, Alta Mae Bearden; and brother, Jack Bearden.

She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and the senior adult Sunday school class, Erwinville Homemakers Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, Rising Star Chapter 121, and Women of the Moose West Side Chapter 1276.
