Last residence Akron, Plymouth, Iowa. After her husband`s death in 1981, Sarah continued her vigorous and active life and was involved in many community activities. She lived on the farm until January 1990 when she moved to Alcester. Sarah was a member of Brule Creek Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and was a superintendent. She was a member of the Women`s ELCA and was a conference officer for many years. She was an active member of the Union County Extension Club and member of the Alcester Senior Citizen`s group. She served on the Union County Republican Party committee and the Alcester chapter of the State Centennial Committee. She was born on 19 June 1903 at Spink, Union, South Dakota.1 She was the daughter of Severt S. Sommervold and Mary A. Esp. Sarah Marie Sommervold was listed as a daughter in Severt S. Sommervold`s household on the 1910 Census at Spink Twp, Union, South Dakota.2 Sarah Marie Sommervold was listed as a daughter in Severt S.
