A. P. Brannon Funeral Service Held Wednesday
A. P. Brannon of Minerva died Monday at 11:55 p.m. at St. Edward hospital in Cameron, having entered the hospital that afternoon.
The body was brought to the Phillips and Luckey funeral home where on Wednesday at 10 a.m. funeral services were held.
Arthur Patrick Brannon was born in Milam county, July 10, 1894, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John P. Brannon. He engaged in farming during his younger years and later operated a service station and grocery store at Minerva, until his health forced him to retire. He was a member of the Minerva Baptist church.
In December 1912 he married Miss Millie Lee Cloud and the three daughters and two sons born to the couple are, Adele Ward of San Marcos, Anna Mae Balhorn of Beaumont, Dorothy Brademan of Giddings, R. J. Brannon of Rockdale. There are also twelve grandchildren.
Brothers and sisters surviving are, Mrs. Gertrude Cross, Mrs. Gracie Welborn, Robert and Leroy Brannon of Malakoff.
Funeral services at Phillips and Luckey chapel were conducted by the Rev. M. M. Fulmer of the First Baptist church. Burial followed in the Sandy Creek cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were: Harry Doss, W. L. Hall, Joe Tomerlin, M. W. Longmire, Ed Schlottman, Robert Curry.
