---Dale R. Allen, age 63 of 14227 Vischer Road, Addison, Michigan, died Saturday in Foote Hospital, Jackson.
---Funeral Services[sic] will be held Tuesday, September 20 at Court-Putnam Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald J. Thompson of the United Methodist church officiating. Burial will be at West Eckford Cemetery. Donations may be given to the Calhoun County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
---Mr. Allen was born February 2, 1920 in Eckford Twp. to Harry G. and Myrtle (Hadley) Allen. He lived all of his life in Michigan spending most of it in the Jackson-Marshall area. He retired in 1978 from the New York Central and Penn Central Raidroad[sic]. He was a member of the Railroad Union.
---Survivors include: 4 sons, Paul R. Allen, Jerry D. Allen, Marvin D. Allen of Mancelona; and James M. Allen of Boyne City; 1 daughter, Mrs. William (Janet) Kitchen of Alba; 12 grandchildren; and 1 brother, Freddie J. Allen of Reed City. He was preceded in death by 1 son, David Allen; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
