Dorothy C. Baker, age 80, of Gardners, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015 at York Hospital. She was born Friday, Oct. 5, 1934 in Franklin Township, Adams County, the daughter of the late Roy Landon and Mary (Kauffman) Plank.

Dorothy was employed by Knouse Foods Peach Glen for eight years. She was retired from Gettysburg College and attended Chapel Hill Church of God in York Springs. She enjoyed working outdoors in her garden.

Her husband Charles K. Baker Sr. passed away in 2006. She is survived by three sons: Tony Baker of Gardners, Dennis E. Baker of Gardners, and David C. Baker of New Cumberland, W.Va.; a sister, Barbara Hostetter of York Springs, six brothers: Merle Plank and Marshall Plank both of Biglerville, Elmer Plank of Oak Grove, Ky., Kenny Plank of Blakeslee, Pa., Wayne Plank of Hanover and Dallas Plank of York Springs; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Charles K. Baker Jr., and brothers Fred and Roy Plank.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral services will be held at 2: p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7 at Dugan Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Huber officiating. Interment will be in Fairfield Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until time of services.
