Obituary for Wayne A. Plank
Wayne A. “Pepsi-Kid” Plank, age 85, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Hanover Hall Nursing Home in Hanover. He was born Saturday, December 10, 1932 a son of the late Roy Landon and Mary (Kauffman) Plank.

Wayne was self-employed as a truck driver for H. Earl Pitzer, H. David Pitzer, Gabler and then retiring after working for Priority Trucking in 2004. During his 69 year career, Wayne drove over 1 million miles. He loved trucking and traveling across the country. Wayne was a family man. He deeply loved his wife Marvel, who he affectionately called “Marbles”. They married on May 27, 1950. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marvel E. (Black) Plank, daughters, Carol E. Miller (Stephen) of Gardners, Susan L. Kuykendall (Roy) of Biglerville, Linda K. Kasic of Hanover, Sharon A. Hawbaker (George) of Hanover and Gail L. Sterner (David) of Curensville, Jeannine Wentz (Matthew) of Spring Grove, thirteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Barb Hostetter of York Springs and brothers, Kenneth, Dallas, Elmer and Marshall. He is preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Baker, his brothers, Merle, Roy and Fred and son-in-law, George Kasic.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., and Bendersville. Viewing will be held from 6 until 8 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Dugan Funeral Home in Bendersville.
