Frank Blackmun Adams Sr. is the son of Thomas Keryer Adams (1887-1949) and Verne Blackmun (1895-1974). Verne is the daughter of Frank W. and Alice Blackmun. In 1930, the Thomas Adams family residence is Tulsa, Oklahoma, and by 1940 they are in Arkansas. Siblings of Frank are Ward H., Thomas C., Mary, Keryer, and Verne.

Frank Blackmun Adams married Dorothy Mae Davis in Seattle in 1950. They resided in Lynnwood, Washington for over 50 years where they raised their family. A young son John G. Adams died at age 11 and is also buried here in Restlawn.

The Frank Adams who died in 2009 in Pierce County, Washington is NOT the son of Frank and Dorothy.

Frank Blackmun Adams Sr.

Frank Blackmun Adams Sr., went into the loving arms of his Savior surrounded by family November 30, 2006. He was born June 23, 1926, to T.K. and Verne Adams in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Frank served his country proudly in the Medical Detachment 188th Parachute Infantry Regiment before deciding on a career as a Commercial and Residential Tile Setter. He was a member of the Bricklayers and Local Craftsman Union Local 1 as well as a member of the Independent Order of Foresters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, his sons, grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his son, John, in 1968.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2006. The Graveside Service is at 11 a.m., Friday, December 8, with a Memorial Service at 1 p.m., also Friday, December 8, at Maple Park Lutheran Brethren Church, l7620 - 60th Avenue W., Lynnwood.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Becks Funeral Home, 405 - 5th Avenue S., Edmonds, (425) 771-1234.
