Charlotte married her widowed brother-in-law, George McCurdy, on 28 April 1880 in the Anglican Church of North Gower. Witnesses were Rebecca Pettapiece and David McCurdy.

George and Charlotte had a family of three children (Harvey b abt 1882; Sophia Gertrude b about 1885; and Sarah b about 1886). After George's death. Charlotte and the children returned to North Gower township to live with her brother, Robert Pettapiece.

Widow of George, died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Graham, in her 88th year.

Survived by two daughters and one son:
Mrs. Frank Graham
Mrs. Henry Porter of Richmond
