Born July 30, 1888, he was the son of Joseph and Mary (Wilkerson) Mason. He was married to the former Eva Jones who preceded him in death May 30, 1968.
He was a retired coal miner, a member of the United Mine Workers of America and the United Methodist Church of Morrisdale. He was the last of his generation.
He is survived by two sons: George Harold Mason, Hawk Run; Wesley, Chula Vista, Calif.; and Mrs. Gustave (Hilma) Galley, Hawk Run. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
Friends may call at the Strange and Weaver Home for Funerals, Morrisdale, at 2 p.m. today until time of services at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel. The Rev. George Yoxtheimer will officiate and intermant will be in the Ashcroft Cemetery at Hawk Run.
