Mrs. Shearer was born at Mifflintown Feb. 7, 1884, a daughter of the late Wilson and Emma Caroline Dennis Auman. She was the widow of B. Frank Shearer.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. J. Franklin (Ona) Miller of Mifflintown RD1, with whom she resided, and the following brother and sisters: Mrs. W. C. (Elizabeth) Pile of Berlin, Somerset County; Mrs. W. F. (Virginia) Oberholtzer of Mifflin; Mrs. N. M. (Vesta) Seibert of Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. C. (Hazel) Metcalf and Dr. Lester W. Auman of Spirit Lake, Iowa; and Mrs. M. G. (Verna) Rogen of Sarasota, Fla.
Mrs. Shearer was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church at Mifflintown where services were held Thursday afternoon in charge of Rev. Roy O. Bodtorf. Interment was made in the Presbyterian Cemetery at Mifflintown.
