Jonathan served in the War of 1812, per Ralph Ege's "Pioneers of Old Hopewell." He and his brother Nathaniel were devised, together, a plantation in their father's will, 1791. He was living in Hopewell Twp., 1830; several younger people were living with him--presumably tenants, farm hands, or collateral relatives since he is not known to have had a family of his own. He died in Hopewell Twp., old Hunterdon (now Mercer) Co., NJ.
