from Alta High School in 1931.
He married Bernice Irene
Carpenter Feb. 11, 1932, in South
Sioux City, Neb. The couple
farmed north of Alta until retiring
and moving to West Lake Okoboji
in 1983. They wintered in
Harlingen, Texas, since 1974.
Bernice died April 17, 1987.
Eugene moved to the Sunset Knoll
Retirement Home in 1992.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; his wife, Bernice
Anderson; a son, Larry
Anderson; a granddaughter,
Wendy Anderson; two great
grandchildren Ilene Carter and
Trever Anderson; and a son-in-law,
Melvin Carter.
