Mrs. Jennie W. Cook

Mrs. Jennie (Waters) Cook, wife of Ceylon Cook, for thirty years a resident of Fly Creek, died suddenly at 6:30 Tuesday morning at her home as the result of a heart attack.

She was born in Maryland, Nov. 5, 1869, a daughter of Lewis and Amelia (Chase) Waters. She and Mr. Cook were married Sept. 26, 1886.

Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Frank Quaif of Fly Creek, Mrs. Dave Hosen of Ilion, Mrs. Wayne Hodgon of Jacksonville, Fla. and Miss Dorothy Cook of Buffalo; one son, Amos Cook of Buffalo; two brothers, George and Maynard Waters of Norwich; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Murphy of Danbury, Conn., Mrs. Frank Hall of Norwich, Mrs. Fred Cook of Hartwick, and Mrs. Ora Stickles of Gasport; a grandson, Maynard Bunn of Fly Creek; a granddaughter, Miss Barbara Hodgon of Jacksonville, Fla. and a great grandson, Maynard Bunn, Jr. of Fly Creek.
Mrs. Cook was a member of the First Presbyterian church at Milford. She was deeply devoted to her home and family and was highly esteemed in her community.

Her funeral will be held from the home Saturday at 2 o'clock and burial will be made in Fly Creek cemetery.
