MRS. OSIE JANE HALL

Mrs. Osie Jane Hall, widow of Frank W. Hall, died in Chenango Memorial Hospital at 6 o'clock Sunday night following a brief illness. The end came unexpectedly and was learned with shock by her family and friends. She was admitted to the hospital December 3 as a medical patient.

Born October 26, 1879 in Milford, N.Y., she was the daughter of Lewis and Amelia (Chase) Waters. Her early years were passed in Milford, where on June 12, 1899 she was united in marriage with Frank Warren Hall. His death occurred in this city June 4, 1948. For some 29 years the couple made their home at 63 West Main. Following the death of Mr. Hall, Mrs. Hall disposed of the residence property and had since made her home at 14 Silver.

She was a communicant of the First congregation Church.

Mrs. Hall was for many years an active member of the S.P.C.A. and was widely known for her interest in the breeding and rearing of pedigreed English bulldogs. Her entries in various kennel shows, state and national, had earned top awards. Mrs. Hall served as a dog show judge. She was also interested in flower culture.

Immediate survivors are a brother, Maynard E. Waters of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Cook of Binghamton and Mrs. Ora Stickles of Tonawanda, also several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Her body rests at the Robert J. Fahy Funeral Home, where services will be held Thursday at 2 o'clock, Rev. Lawrence L. Durgin, pastor of the First congregational church will officiate. burial will be made in the family plot in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9.
