NORFOLK — Services for Welda Bothe, 94, of Norfolk will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Scott Hastings officiating and burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Welda, died on Friday, July 13, 2012 at her home, the Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk.
Welda was born March 16, 1918, at Bertrand to the late August and Catherine Peterson and had resided in Norfolk for the past 50 years. Prior to living in Norfolk, Welda lived in Lexington, Callaway and Lindsay. Welda worked in Norfolk at the Gold Bond Store and for M.J. Shoening and Associates.
Welda was a longtime member of the Catholic Daughters and the St. Mary's Catholic Church Choir.
Welda married William A. Bothe June 30, 1942, at Lindsay. Survivors: Jan Gillespie and husband Dave of Peoria, Ariz., Barbara Jochum of Norfolk, Denise Harmel of Fremont, Angela Barcus and husband Monte of Lawrence, Kan., Rhonda Collins and husband Lane of Meadow Grove; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, two sisters, one brother and two grandsons.
The pallbearers are all of her grandchildren: Drew Schulz, Dana Schulz, Lindsay Schulz, Chad Jochum, Holly Irving, Melissa Prendergast, Nick Harmel, Tammy Day, Brent Barcus, Adam Barcus, Lisa Barcus, Jill Collins and Ben Collins.
