Charles L. Covey, 71 and a native of Nebraska and a former builder in Santa Cruze, died Friday in Martinez. He was a former Navy employee.
His parents were Charles H. Covey and Lizza Bollway.
He is survived by a daughter Mae Annabelle Machuca; a grandson, Charles Noble Covey and a granddaughter, Mrs. Roberta Dellett. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Minnie Bell/Blanche Carpenter Covey and a son, Charles L. Covey, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Mosswood Chapel of Albert Engle and Company, 3630 Telegraph Avenue and 37th Street, Oakland.
Interment willow in the IOOF Cemetery of Santa Cruz, California.
He was cremated at Mt. View Cemetery and was interred at Santa Cruz Memorial Park in Block O, Lot 1, S1/2 SW 1/4, in the same grave as his wife Minnie Blanche Covey.
