Funeral services for Francis D. Andersen, 75, of Creighton were held, Monday, October 21, 2002 at the Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton.
Reverend Mark Simpson officiated the 1:30 p.m. service with inurement in the Greenwood Cemetery, Creighton.
Francis Dale Andersen, son of Christian and Dorothy Nielsen Andersen, was born May 28, 1827, at Creighton.
He attended Creighton Community School and served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1946.
He married Helen Jean Kelly, October 25, at Neligh. Four children were born to them, Judy, Chris, Lars and Jens.
He lived on a farm southeast of Creighton until May of 2001, when he entered the Alpine Village Nursing Home at Verdigre, later moving to the Creighton Care Centre.
Francis farmed during his entire working career. He attended Grace Bible Church.
He passed away October 15, 2002 at the age of 75.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Jean, of Lincoln, his children, four grandchildren, four step grandchildren, a brother, Marvin, two sisters and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Walter, in infancy and a sister-in-law.
